CPT definition

12/29/2023

CPT stands for CURRENT PROCEDURAL TERMINOLOGY.

Each medical service is given a numerical or alpha numerical assignment. For example, an extensive. inpatient consult is 99223.

So why is this important? If your response is "I just want to focus on clinical care," just close this window, lowpayer is not for you. We don't want you here.

Proper CPT coding will allow a non productive provider appear much more productive than a productive provider that doesn't know how to use CPT or use lowpayer.

This means way more money for the provider that employs lowpayer to help use the proper CPT code. We refer to this as "proper coding."

This money appears either as bonuses if you are an employee, job security, or just plain cash if you are an independent physician aka "1099."

Remember, you cannot provide the best clinical care without financial peace of mind. So go ahead and use lowpayer to max out your billings. Your patient need you to be happy.

"More billings, better healings."
